Translation in English:
“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
O Allah, send blessings, peace, and grace upon our master and protector Muhammad, who wears the crown (Taj) and ascends to the heavens (Mi’raj), the proof of the Great Quran, and upon his family and companions.
O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad and the family of our master Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon our master Ibrahim and the family of our master Ibrahim. And send Your grace upon our master Muhammad and the family of our master Muhammad, as You sent Your grace upon our master Ibrahim and the family of our master Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.
O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, and upon his family and companions, and grant them peace abundantly.”
Darood e Taj Audio:
What is Darood e Taj?
This sacred darood is a type of Salawat or blessing that Muslims send to the Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ. The word “Darood” means sending peace and blessings, and “Taj” means crown. This prayer is called the Crown of all Daroods because of its special words that praise the Prophet in a beautiful way.
It is written in Arabic and has been translated into many languages. Many Muslims believe that reciting this form of salawat brings Barakah (blessings), Shifa (healing), and protection from evil.

The History of Darood Taj
This powerful salawat is believed to be written by a pious scholar named Sheikh Abu Bakr Salim. It became very popular in Sufi traditions and among Muslims in South Asia, Africa, and other regions. Some people say that it was also recited during times of illness or danger for protection.
Spiritual Benefits of Darood Taj
Many Muslims believe that reciting this form of darood regularly brings many spiritual gifts:
Some even say that if you recite it 100 times, you may see good changes in your life.
Comparing Darood Taj with Other Salawat
There are many types of Darood, like:
- Darood Ibrahim โ read in every prayer
- Darood Qasida โ another popular prayer
Darood Ibrahim is the most authentic and part of the daily prayers. This poetic salawat is longer and more expressive. It is not a replacement but can be added to your routine for extra blessings.
When and How to Recite It
There is no strict rule, but many people recite this sacred prayer:
- After Fajr (morning prayer)
- Before going to sleep
- When facing problems or fear
- On Friday, which is a special day in Islam
You can read it once, three times, or even 100 times a day if you have time. What matters most is that you read it with love and respect.
Is This Prayer Allowed in Islam?
Some Islamic scholars love and support this blessed salawat because it brings people closer to the Prophet ๏ทบ. Others think it is not part of the Sunnah and call it bid’ah (innovation).
However, most scholars agree that as long as a prayer does not contain anything against the teachings of Islam, it can be read for blessings.
It is always good to learn from trusted Islamic scholars and check if any phrases might go against Tawheed (oneness of Allah).
Conclusion
Darood e Taj is a powerful and meaningful Darood in Islam. Reciting it regularly can bring many benefits, such as peace, protection, and closeness to Allah and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is a beautiful way to show love and respect for the Prophet (PBUH).
