What is Dua e Qunoot?

The word “Qunoot” comes from Arabic and means “obedience” or “devotion”. In Islamic practice, Dua-e Qunoot refers to the prayer made during the Witr prayer, usually after the bowing position (ruku) in the last unit (rak’ah). This dua includes praising Allah, thanking Him, and asking for His forgiveness and guidance. According to Imam Al-Nawawi (رحمه الله), a renowned Islamic scholar, the Qunoot is a supplication of humility and submission, often used in Witr and during times of hardship.
